Give Back Program

Giving Back is a Core Value
BT Squared fosters a culture of giving throughout the organization on multiple levels. As CEO Mark Huber states: "Community support, environmental education, and smart land use form the core of our Give Back philosophy precisely because these issues are important to our employees and our clients. This is a key part of our culture and our success." This philosophy lies at the heart of the company and it is what makes it so unique.
Our Mission: To help our clients create successful businesses and vibrant communities while respecting the environment and the needs of future generations.
BT Squared has a long legacy of giving back to the community. From 1996 through 2008 we have made over $80,000 in charitable contributions. Three core charities make up the core of the Give Back Program. They are:
- Second Harvest Food Bank of Southern Wisconsin
- The Natural Heritage Land Trust
- Aldo Leopold Nature Center
The United Way of Dane County and Community Shares of Wisconsin also receive a great deal of focus through employee payroll contributions and employer matches.
In addition to pledging and donations, BT Squared supports employee volunteering. In 2008 employees donated hundreds of hours to more than 15 organizations spanning a wide variety of interests and needs. They include:
- Meals on Wheels
- Habitat for Humanity
- Adopt-a-Highway
- Wisconsin Public Television
- The Nature Conservancy
- SISTER House
- Wisconsin Trails Run
- Wisconsin Institute for Learning Disabilities
- Schools of Hope through the Urban League of Madison
- ARC House
- Expanding Your Horizons
- Iowa County Humane Society
If an employee is passionate about a charitable organization, BT Squared finds a way to support them, even if every so often that occurs during the workday.
BT Squared also gives back to the community through Pro Bono work for non-profits. In, 2008, we provided $3,000 in pro bono engineering services for the Goodman Community Center.
Working for BT Squared is much more than punching the clock. It is an opportunity to do more with your career and your life.
